Students from around the world are invited to join an extraordinary live conversation with legendary polar explorer Robert Swan, broadcasting directly from Antarctica via Starlink.
Robert Swan made history as the first person to walk to both the North and South Poles, completing expeditions through some of the most extreme environments on Earth. His achievements earned him recognition as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and the prestigious Polar Medal.
In 2026, Robert marks 40 years since reaching the South Pole, an achievement that began a lifelong commitment to protecting Antarctica and preserving it as a place for science and peace.
During this special Edutainment Learning event, Robert will join students live from Antarctica to share what it is like to explore one of the most remote places on Earth, the challenges and risks he has faced, lessons about leadership and resilience, and why Antarctica matters to the future of our planet. Antarctica contains approximately 90% of the planet's remaining ice, and changes there can have consequences for coastlines, oceans, and communities around the world.
Students will also have the rare opportunity to ask questions and hear firsthand what four decades of exploration have taught Robert about courage, perseverance, leadership, protecting our planet, and taking action when something matters.
This isn't a documentary about Antarctica. Students will be connecting with one of the world's great explorers while he is actually there.
