Juliana R. V. Tkatch is a professor with UNLV's William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. She teaches and researches events, sports entertainment, and tourism attractions, helping students understand how to design experiences that are immersive, memorable, and meaningful.
With more than 15 years of professional experience in event planning, stakeholder management, and sustainability strategy, Tkatch bridges industry practice and academic insight. Her primary line of scholarly work bridges the technical design of events, tourism attractions, and hospitality services with guests' lived experiences and the personal and social impacts created in the tourism realm. Her research also explores accessibility in tourism, special-interest tourism, and the social and economic impact of events and tourism.
