Jarod A. Nanna is an educational leader, researcher, veteran, and former collegiate athlete whose work centers on performance development, holistic wellness, and strategic leadership. Raised in Western Pennsylvania in a close-knit Christian household, Jarod was instilled early with the values of discipline, faith, resilience, and hard work—principles that continue to guide both his personal and professional life. As an uncle to five nieces and nephews, he prioritizes strong family bonds and mentorship as foundational pillars of long-term success.
A multi-sport athlete throughout his youth, Jarod earned collegiate baseball honors at Thiel College, receiving All-Conference and All-Region recognition. His athletic career was marked by leadership under pressure, overcoming injury, and an unwavering commitment to competitive discipline—experiences that shaped his philosophy on accountability, perseverance, and high performance.
Beyond athletics, Jarod worked on his grandparents’ farm beginning at age twelve, developing mechanical aptitude, self-reliance, and a respect for craftsmanship. A lifelong outdoorsman and self-proclaimed carpenter, he maintains a passion for building and creating—from custom fabrication projects to educational technology ventures.
Jarod earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with minors in Legal Studies and Sociology from Thiel College, followed by a Master of Arts in Cross-Disciplinary Studies from Nova Southeastern University. He completed his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Lynn University in 2023, with research focused on integrating holistic wellness frameworks into structured educational systems. He is currently finalizing his dissertation.
Professionally, Jarod serves as an Academic Instructor and Learning Center Supervisor within a performance-based virtual academy environment, working closely with student-athletes and diverse learners. His leadership emphasizes data-informed decision-making, structured accountability systems, and relationship-driven mentorship.
He is also the founder and principal investigator of SelfElite, a Whole Health educational platform designed to operationalize six dimensions of wellness—physical, intellectual, emotional, social, financial, and spiritual—into measurable growth systems.
A former military service member, Jarod carries forward the discipline and resilience cultivated through service, blending structured accountability with mentorship and faith-based grounding. His philosophy centers on personal agency, intentional development, and the pursuit of meaningful goals without allowing external pressures to dictate direction.
