Garner Holt is an entrepreneur and animatronics pioneer who brings imagination to life through art, engineering, and technology. He is the founder and president of Garner Holt Productions, a company that creates lifelike robotic characters and special effects for theme parks, museums, and attractions around the world, including projects for Disney and Universal Studios.
Garner started his company in 1977 at just 16 years old, working out of his parents’ garage while still in high school. His curiosity and determination helped turn a teenage passion into a career creating characters that move, perform, and tell stories. In 2015, he received the Themed Entertainment Association’s lifetime achievement award.
Through Garner Holt Education Through Imagination and the Garner Holt Foundation, he also helps students explore careers in robotics, engineering, art, programming, and storytelling. His journey shows young people how creativity, teamwork, and persistence can turn an idea into something extraordinary.
