As a Senior Research Fellow at BanyanGlobal Family Business Advisors, Dennis studies how families around the world build businesses that last for generations. He helps them navigate challenges involving communication, responsibility, leadership, and philanthropy.
Dennis is the author of Borrowed from Your Grandchildren: The Evolution of 100-Year Family Enterprises and several other books about leadership, change, and working with family. His research examines how lasting businesses prepare younger generations to become thoughtful, responsible leaders.
He earned degrees in philosophy, management, and sociology from Yale University and taught for 35 years at Saybrook University, where he is now Professor Emeritus of Organizational Systems and Psychology. Through his teaching, writing, and advising, Dennis shares lessons about collaboration, purpose, and building a legacy that benefits future generations.
