Witnesses to History: The Holocaust and The Civil Rights Movement
Ben Lesser and Robert L. Green

Ben Lesser was a prisoner in Auschwitz, Dachau, and Buchenwald Concentration Camps. He is also the last surviving occupant of the Dachau death train. Since surviving the Holocaust, he has led a successful professional life and raised a family. He is also the founder of the Zachor Holocaust Remembrance Foundation. Dr. Robert L. Green is a civil rights pioneer and was a close friend and colleague of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. From 1965-1967, Dr. Green worked for Dr. King, Jr. as the education director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Dr. Green is dean and professor emeritus, Urban Affairs Programs, Michigan State University.
